Ancilliary
Components
Skyquest offer a range of useful ancillary installation
components often required when fitting role
equipment to aircraft.
These include:
GPS Active
Splitter
Designed to enable one Active GPS antenna to
be located on the airframe (helicopter or
fixed wing) and provide 4 outputs to other
equipment on the aircraft. Typically used to
provide GPS data to moving maps, FLIR cameras
and mission computers.
GPS Passive
Splitter
Designed to enable one GPS antenna to provide
up to five outputs to other equipment on the
aircraft.
Cargo
Hook, Hoist Camera System
Enables the pilot or crew on board the aircraft
to have full live video coverage of cargo
hook or hoist operations. A specially developed
optical package enables the video image to
show both the underside of the aircraft down
to the bottom of the hoist without distortion
of the image. The camera is also used by police
and military to view and record fast roping
missions.

Aircraft
Video Distribution Amplifiers
Specifically designed to provide multiple video
outputs from up to 2 single video inputs OR
multiple video outputs from video and VGA inputs.
Aircraft Data Distribution
Amplifier (dual GPS output)
Provides dual RS232 buffered outputs from a
single RS232 input.
Cockpit
Intercom Audio Adaptor
Provides galvanic isolation between the aircraft
intercom audio feed a suitable video recorder
or microwave transmitter.
Rugged QWERTY keyboard
with mouse
Provides a rugged, back lit solution for users
who require a keyboard and mouse to operate
on-board computers and moving map systems.
When connected to a Skyquest display the QWERTY
keyboard, via an IUPC interface unit, will
automatically control the computer/map being
viewed on the display.
VMS (Video
Management System)
Enables complex video installations in aircraft
to perform virtually limitless switching and
configuration without complex wiring. Typically
used on surveillance aircraft with several displays,
video recorders, up/down links and ANPR computers
where any operator position can view any input.
